This example presents a blank, interactive canvas as an SVG element that fills the entire browser viewport. The visualization consists of a single large rectangle with rounded corners, rendered in a default black color against the white page background. The SVG is sized dynamically to match the dimensions of the browser window using the client dimensions. The code relies on D3 version 5 to select the SVG element and append the rectangle, while CSS positioning ensures the canvas remains fixed to the viewport edges.

Blank Canvas

This example presents an initially blank, full-viewport canvas. It displays a single, fixed, rounded rectangle that fills the entire browser window. The visualization is rendered using an SVG element, whose dimensions are set to match the document body’s width and height via the D3.js library. The code imports the `select` function from D3 and uses it to configure the SVG, appending a rectangle with rounded corners. The underlying styles, defined in CSS, fix the body to the viewport, ensuring the blank canvas remains the sole focus of the page.

Blank Canvas

This example presents an empty, rounded rectangle that fills the entire browser viewport as a blank canvas. The visualization uses D3 v5 to select the SVG element and dynamically set its dimensions based on the document body’s client width and height, then appends a single rectangle with a 40-pixel corner radius. The SVG rendering approach relies on the D3 `select` and `append` API, while the fixed-position CSS ensures the graphic stays locked to the screen edges without scrollbars.

Blank Canvas

This visualization displays a blank, rounded-corner rectangle that fills the entire browser viewport, occupying the full width and height of the page’s client area. The SVG canvas is dynamically sized using `document.body.clientWidth` and `document.body.clientHeight`, with the rectangle drawn via a simple `<rect>` element appended to the SVG. The styling uses fixed positioning and hidden overflow in CSS to ensure the canvas remains edge-to-edge. Built with d3.v5, the code leverages the d3 `select` method to target the SVG element, and no data source is used, as the piece is purely a minimal geometric composition.

Blank Canvas

This example displays a blank canvas that fills the entire browser viewport. The visualization uses a simple SVG rectangle with rounded corners, rendered in a fixed-position body that prevents scrolling. The code relies on D3 v5's selection API (`select`) to target the SVG element and sets its dimensions based on the document's `clientWidth` and `clientHeight` properties. The rectangle’s `rx` attribute gives it a subtle rounded appearance, creating an empty but intentional visual space.

Blank Canvas

A blank rectangular canvas fills the entire browser window, rendered as an SVG rectangle with rounded corners. The visualization demonstrates a minimal starting point where no data or marks are present, leaving the empty space as the primary visual element. The code uses D3 v5 to select the SVG element, measure the document’s client width and height, and append a single rectangle with a 40-pixel corner radius. Styling is handled via fixed positioning in CSS to prevent scrolling overlow.

Blank Canvas

This example renders a full-screen black canvas with a single rounded rectangle drawn across the entire viewport. The visualization uses D3.js to select the SVG element and dynamically set its width and height based on the browser window’s client dimensions. The rectangle is appended with a corner radius of 40 pixels, while CSS fixes the body and disables scrolling. The page relies on D3’s `select` and `attr` methods, producing a minimal, static composition that highlights empty space.

Blank Canvas

An empty SVG canvas occupies the full browser viewport, presenting a blank space with no data or visual elements rendered. The page sets up a fixed, full-screen body area and an initial 960×500 pixel SVG element, though the JavaScript includes commented-out code that would resize the SVG and append a rectangle. Using D3 v5's `select` method, the script references the SVG but takes no active drawing action, leaving the visualization completely empty.

Blank Canvas

The visualization displays a blank, rounded rectangle that fills the entire browser viewport, with no data or marks drawn. It uses D3 v5 to select the SVG element and set its width and height based on the document body’s client dimensions, then appends a single `<rect>` with a 40-pixel corner radius. The code logs the viewport size to the console, and the CSS fixes the body to prevent scrolling, leaving the canvas as a pure, empty surface.
