This example renders an interactive-free generative drawing inspired by Sol LeWitt, filling the browser viewport with a series of vertical bars. The artwork is created using raw SVG elements via the Document Object Model API, specifically `createElementNS` and `setAttribute`, inside a plain HTML page. A loop of 100 iterations draws rectangles with a fixed x-position and incrementing width, extending full height, producing a striped composition. The code relies solely on vanilla JavaScript and SVG, with no external libraries, and automatically adapts to the window's dimensions.

Sol Lewit Repro

This example presents a generative art piece inspired by Sol LeWitt, rendered by drawing a series of vertical stripes across the full browser window. The visualization uses raw JavaScript with the Document Object Model (DOM) API, specifically creating Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) elements via `document.createElementNS`. The code generates 100 rectangles, positioning each one along the x-axis with a fixed width and making them stretch the entire height of the viewport, resulting in a clean, minimal striped pattern that echoes LeWitt's systematic wall drawings. The artwork automatically adapts to the current window dimensions.

Sol LeWitt in Vanilla JS

This example renders a generative art piece inspired by Sol LeWitt using vanilla JavaScript and SVG. It creates a full-screen SVG canvas and populates it with a series of vertical rectangles, each 10 pixels wide, spaced 20 pixels apart across the entire window width. The code uses `document.createElementNS` and `setAttribute` to construct SVG elements dynamically, looping to cover the viewport’s width. The result is a minimal, grid-based composition that directly translates the artist’s geometric aesthetic into a browser-based visualization.

Sol Lewitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol Lewitt-inspired drawing using a series of vertical bars. The code generates 100 rectangles using the SVG API, positioning each one 20 pixels apart with a width of 10 pixels, creating a repeating striped pattern that spans the full height of the browser window. The rendering approach is procedural and algorithmic, with the SVG elements created dynamically via JavaScript’s `createElementNS` method and appended to the document body. The bars’ spacing is hardcoded, producing a clean, minimalist geometric composition.

Sol Lewitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-inspired wall drawing using raw SVG elements created directly through the DOM API. It shows a series of 100 thin vertical rectangles evenly spaced across the full height of the browser viewport, creating a minimalist striped pattern. The visualization uses `document.createElementNS` to generate SVG `rect` elements, setting each rectangle’s width to 10 pixels and its horizontal offset to 20 pixels apart. No external libraries are used, relying purely on vanilla JavaScript and CSS to render the geometric composition dynamically based on the window size.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a minimalist Sol LeWitt drawing using programmatically generated vertical bars. It fills the browser viewport with 100 thin SVG rectangles, evenly spaced 20 pixels apart and spanning the full window height. The code uses the raw Document Object Model (DOM) API with `createElementNS` to construct SVG elements directly, setting viewport dimensions from `window.innerWidth` and `window.innerHeight`. No external libraries are used; the rendering relies purely on vanilla JavaScript and CSS.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a minimalist Sol LeWitt-style drawing using an SVG canvas that fills the browser window. It generates 100 vertical rectangular stripes, each 10 pixels wide and spaced 20 pixels apart, spanning the full height of the viewport. The code creates SVG elements dynamically via the `createElementNS` API and sets attributes like `x`, `width`, and `height` directly, without any external libraries. The rendering approach relies purely on JavaScript and SVG, with no data source or interaction beyond the static geometric composition.

Sol LeWitt

This example renders a generative SVG artwork inspired by Sol LeWitt. It uses raw JavaScript to create an SVG element sized to the browser window, then draws 100 vertical rectangles, each 10 pixels wide and spaced 20 pixels apart, spanning the full height of the canvas. A circular mask, defined in SVG and applied via the `mask` attribute, clips these rectangles, revealing a bold, striped disk centered on the screen. The piece demonstrates programmatic shape creation and SVG masking without any external libraries.

Sol Lewwit

This example renders a minimalist generative composition inspired by Sol LeWitt’s geometric wall drawings. It creates 100 vertical rectangles of fixed width, evenly spaced across the viewport, with each rectangle’s height matching the full window height. The visualization dynamically adapts to the browser’s current dimensions using `window.innerWidth` and `window.innerHeight`. It constructs a raw SVG document via the Document Object Model (DOM) API, specifically `document.createElementNS` and `setAttribute`, without using any external libraries or frameworks.
