This example shows the distribution of a categorical variable, `favorite_fruit`, across twelve survey responses as a static pie chart. Each slice is labeled with its fruit name and count, and a matching color-coded legend lists the totals. The visualization is generated using D3 version 7, with data loaded from a CSV via `d3.csv` and `d3.autoType`. Category counts are computed with `d3.rollups`, and the pie geometry is built using `d3.pie` and `d3.arc`, with the final SVG rendered on a canvas sized 520 by 380 pixels.
