This visualization displays the hierarchy of world countries organized by continent and subregion as a tree structure. The hierarchical data, which shows the path from "World" down to individual countries like Afghanistan and India, is loaded from a JSON file. The SVG rendering uses D3 v5 to create the visualization, with the page dimensions determining the width and height of the SVG canvas. The code sets up a blank rectangle as the background but does not yet implement the tree layout or node rendering, only loading and logging the data.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion using a vertical tree layout. The root node, "World," branches into continents like Asia, which then subdivides into regional groups such as "Southern Asia" and individual country leaf nodes. The SVG rendering connects parent and child nodes with black, stroke-only paths generated by the `linkVertical` function, while the `tree` layout algorithm from D3 v5 positions the nodes spatially. Data is loaded from a JSON file via D3's `json` method, and the hierarchy is built using the `hierarchy` API.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent (such as Asia) and subregion (like Southern Asia). The data is loaded from a JSON file and rendered as a horizontal tree layout using D3.js. The code specifically uses D3's `hierarchy`, `tree`, and `linkHorizontal` functions to compute the layout and generate SVG paths, which are appended to an SVG element. The tree is sized to the browser window, and country names are implied through the data structure, though labels are not rendered in this example.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organizing them by continent and subregion into a horizontal tree layout. The root node, "World," branches into continents like Asia, which further divide into subregions and individual countries. The SVG rendering uses D3.js v5’s `d3.tree`, `d3.hierarchy`, `d3.linkHorizontal`, and a zoom interaction via `d3.zoom` to navigate the large dataset. Node labels are positioned with dynamic font sizes based on depth, and the data loads asynchronously from a JSON file.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using an indented horizontal layout. It renders the structure with SVG paths representing links between parent and child nodes, employing D3 v5’s `tree` layout, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` generator. The data is loaded from a JSON file containing the nested country classification. The visualization uses a fixed viewport sized to the browser window, with styled paths and text elements for a clean presentation.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, loaded from a nested JSON data structure. The tree layout uses d3.tree and d3.hierarchy to position nodes, with curved links generated by d3.linkHorizontal. Text labels scale in size based on depth, and the entire diagram supports pan and zoom interactions via d3.zoom. The SVG rendering applies a custom color to paths and a white text shadow for legibility.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, displayed as a horizontal tree layout. The hierarchical data is loaded from a JSON file and rendered as an SVG using D3 v5’s `tree` layout, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` path generator. Node labels are positioned according to their depth, with font size decreasing at deeper levels, and the entire graphic supports pan and zoom via D3’s `zoom` behavior.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion using a horizontal tree layout rendered as SVG with D3.js. The interactive visualization supports pan and zoom navigation through D3’s zoom behavior. Node labels are scaled by depth level, with links drawn using d3.linkHorizontal. The data is loaded from a JSON file containing nested country groupings under a World root node.

World countries tree

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with the root node labeled "World" branching down to individual nations. It shows the structural relationships between geographic regions and their constituent countries. The tree is rendered as an SVG using D3.js v5, with the `d3.tree` layout algorithm and `d3.linkHorizontal` for curved edges. Text labels scale in font size based on node depth, and the visualization supports zooming via a custom zoom event. Data is loaded from a JSON file structured as nested regions.
