This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt wall drawing using an abstract geometric composition of repeated vertical bars. The SVG canvas fills the entire browser window, with one hundred thin rectangles evenly spaced across the width, each extending the full height of the viewport. The code generates each rectangle dynamically via the SVG DOM API, setting the x position and width attributes in a loop. The work highlights the minimalist aesthetic of LeWitt’s instructional art through a purely algorithmic, code-driven rendering approach.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt wall drawing using purely geometric forms: a series of vertical rectangles evenly spaced across the full browser window. It renders 100 thin, black bars, each 10 pixels wide and as tall as the viewport, using raw SVG elements created and appended via the Document Object Model (DOM) API. The code does not use any D3 functions or libraries, instead relying on native JavaScript to set the width, height, and position of each rectangle. The piece emphasizes minimal, systematic repetition, echoing LeWitt’s instructional art, with the final output being a static, monochrome composition.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This piece presents a minimalist, generative art reproduction of a Sol LeWitt wall drawing, rendered as a full-screen SVG. The code creates one hundred vertical bars, each ten pixels wide and spaced twenty pixels apart, filling the canvas height. Using the SVG API via JavaScript, it programmatically constructs rectangles within the browser window, producing a simple, rhythmic pattern of black lines against a white background. The work demonstrates a direct, code-based approach to recreating conceptual art's geometric aesthetics.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-inspired wall drawing using dynamically generated SVG rectangles. It renders 100 vertical bars of fixed width, spaced evenly across the full viewport height, creating a minimalist grid pattern that fills the browser window. The visualization works by creating an SVG element with the DOM API `document.createElementNS`, setting its dimensions to match the window, and appending each rectangle with explicit `x`, `width`, and `height` attributes. No external libraries are used; it relies entirely on native JavaScript and SVG shape creation.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt drawing using a generative approach, rendering a series of vertical bars. The bars are evenly spaced across the full width and height of the browser window, creating a rhythmic, minimalist composition. The code uses raw JavaScript with the Document Object Model (DOM) API to create SVG elements, specifically `document.createElementNS`. It dynamically sets the canvas size based on `window.innerWidth` and `window.innerHeight`, then iterates to append one hundred `rect` elements, each with a fixed width and spacing, to the SVG container.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example displays a Sol LeWitt-inspired geometric composition, rendering a series of vertical black bars across a white background. The code creates a full-screen SVG canvas using the native JavaScript `document.createElementNS` API. It draws 100 rectangles, each 10 pixels wide and spaced 20 pixels apart, with heights set to match the viewport’s inner height. The rigid, repeated pattern mirrors LeWitt’s minimalist wall drawings, and the approach directly translates a simple algorithmic grid into scalable vector graphics.

Sol Lewitt Repro

This generative visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt wall drawing as a series of thin, full-height vertical bars. The piece fills the browser window with 100 equally spaced black rectangles, creating a minimalist, rhythmic pattern. The code dynamically sizes the SVG to the viewport’s inner width and height, and generates each bar using the native DOM API `document.createElementNS` within an SVG namespace. It relies on procedural repetition rather than external data, directly scripting each rectangle’s position and dimensions in a loop.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces the minimalist aesthetic of a Sol LeWitt wall drawing. It displays a series of vertical black bars that are evenly spaced across the full height of the browser window, creating a rhythmic, grid-like pattern. The piece works by using JavaScript to dynamically generate SVG `rect` elements within the HTML document. The code sets the number of rectangles to 100, positions them at intervals of 20 pixels, and gives each a width of 10 pixels, resulting in an abstract, geometric composition that fills the screen.

Sol Lewitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt wall drawing as an interactive SVG visualization. It renders 100 vertical rectangles, each 10 pixels wide, evenly spaced across the full viewport height. The code uses the SVG API to create and append each rectangle dynamically via `document.createElementNS`. All shapes are generated procedurally without an external dataset, directly mimicking LeWitt’s geometric style. The result is a minimalist, full-screen composition that fills the browser window.
