A family tree diagram uses orange circles with purple outlines to represent individuals, connected by animated lime-green paths that draw from parent to child. The example relies on D3 v6's `stratify()` and `tree()` utilities to structure the provided name-list data, and the `transition()` API to animate both the node appearance and link paths over time.

Fork of family tree

A fork of a family tree visualizes generational relationships with colored nodes and animated connection paths against a black background. The D3.js v6 code uses the `d3.stratify()` and `d3.tree()` APIs to structure and position the hierarchical data, while SVG circles and text labels represent individuals. Node colors shift by generation depth, and yellow paths animate their drawing over 1.5 seconds, with circles growing into place. The example demonstrates a custom fork of D3's tree layout, using `select`, `append`, and `transition` methods for rendering.

Fork of Fork of Fork of Famil Tree

A family tree visualization renders a hierarchical dataset as a branching diagram of nodes, where each person is represented by an aqua circle with a maroon border and their name displayed in purple text. The tree is built using `d3.stratify` to structure the data and `d3.tree` to compute the layout, with SVG `path` elements drawing the connecting links. Animations use `transition` to progressively draw the links and fade in the circles and labels, creating a dynamic reveal of the genealogy.

Fork of Family Tree

This fork of a family tree visualization uses D3 v6 to display hierarchical relationships among a set of characters. The D3 `stratify()` API constructs the tree structure from parent-child links, while `d3.tree()` calculates the layout. Nodes are rendered as colored SVG circles, with colors indicating generation depth, and are animated via D3's `transition()` API. The connections between nodes are drawn as lime-green paths. The embedded text labels are placed directly on each circle using SVG text elements.

Fork of Fork of Family Tree

A family tree visualization displays hierarchical relationships among named individuals using orange circles connected by maroon lines. The tree animates as nodes and links transition into place, with text labels appearing progressively based on depth. Built with React, the code uses d3.stratify and d3.tree to compute layout, while SVG transitions animate the paths, circles, and text elements.

Fork of Family tree

This fork of a family tree uses D3.js v6 to render a static SVG genealogy chart with animated node and link drawing. The tree displays ten named individuals as lime-stroked circles, with node colors (blue, lawngreen, magenta, white) assigned by generation depth. Links are drawn first from parent coordinates to the same point, then animated with the `transition()` method to extend to the child positions over two seconds. The data array provides explicit child-parent pairs, while the `d3.stratify()` and `d3.tree()` APIs structure the hierarchy and compute node positions.

Fork of Family Tree

A family tree for three generations is depicted, where each node is a colored circle representing a family member, and the connecting lines show parent-child relationships. The visualization uses a static dataset of ten family members and renders the hierarchy with D3 v6, employing the `d3.stratify()` function to build the hierarchy from link data and `d3.tree()` to calculate node positions. The SVG output animates the growth of the connecting paths and the appearance of the circles, with node colors (`#ff00ff`, `#00ff00`, `#ffa500`) distinguishing generations.

Family Tree

A family tree displays three generations of relatives as orange circles connected by green lines on a pink background. Using D3 v6, the code builds a hierarchical layout with `d3.stratify()` and `d3.tree()`, then renders SVG paths and circles with animated transitions. Node labels show each person's name, while the tree expands from a single root ancestor through children and grandchildren.

Fork of Fork of Famil Tree

This family tree visualization uses a static dataset of parent-child relationships to display a two-generation hierarchy. It shows the connections between a root ancestor and fifteen descendants, with each individual represented as a maroon-bordered, aqua circle. The example uses D3 v6 to create the tree layout via the `d3.stratify()` and `d3.tree()` APIs, computing node positions for the SVG render. Circles and connecting paths are animated into place using D3's `.transition().duration()` and `.attr()` methods, while text labels (in purple) identify each family member. The rendering uses SVG elements—`circle`, `path`, and `text`—and applies a simple animation on initial load.
