This horizontal bar chart ranks video game titles by global sales in units, sourced from a Kaggle dataset. Built with D3 v6, it maps the numeric sales field to a linear x-scale and the game names to a categorical y-scale band. The SVG rendering uses `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom` to draw the axes, with orange rectangles encoding each game’s sales value.

BarChart

This bar chart displays global video game sales by genre, using data from Kaggle. It shows total sales in units for categories like Action, Shooter, and Platform, with bars rendered as SVG rectangles. The chart implements axes, labels, and a mouseover interaction that changes bar color. It uses d3.scaleBand, d3.scaleLinear, d3.axisLeft, and d3.axisBottom to construct the visualization, with animated color transitions on mouseout via D3 transitions.

Fork of BarChart

This visualization displays global video game sales by genre, using a bar chart to compare units sold across categories like Action, Shooter, and Platform. The chart is built with D3 v6, using `scaleBand` for the x-axis, `scaleLinear` for the y-axis, and SVG rectangles for the bars. Bars animate their fill color to orange on mouseover and transition back to steelblue on mouseout. The data, sourced from Kaggle, is loaded as CSV and parsed, with axes and labels rendered via `axisBottom` and `axisLeft`.

Bar Chart

This bar chart visualizes global sales by video game genre, ranking categories like Action and Shooter from highest to lowest on a linear scale. Using D3 version 6, the code loads CSV data via `d3.csv` and draws SVG rectangles with `d3.selectAll`. The axes are created with `d3.axisBottom` and `d3.axisLeft` on band and linear scales. Rectangles change fill color from steelblue to orange on mouseover, then transition to red on mouseout with a 250ms duration.

BarChart

This bar chart shows the global sales of video games by genre, ranking categories like Action and Shooter by their total sales in millions. The visualization uses D3 v6 to load CSV data from a GitHub gist, and renders the chart as an SVG with animated transitions. It employs `scaleBand` for the x-axis and `scaleLinear` for the y-axis, with axes generated by `axisBottom` and `axisLeft`. Bars are filled steelblue and change to orange on mouseover, using D3’s selection and transition APIs.

Fork of Bar Chart

This bar chart visualizes global video game sales by genre, from Action’s 563 million units to Strategy’s 23 million. Built with D3 v6, it uses `scaleBand` for the categorical x-axis and `scaleLinear` for the numeric y-axis, drawing SVG rectangles from CSV data. Interactive hover effects transition bars from steelblue to orange, and mouseout reverts them via `transition.attr` over 250 milliseconds. Axis labels and titles are appended as SVG text elements.

D3 Bar chart

This bar chart displays global sales figures for top-rated video games in 2016, with each game’s name on the x-axis and sales in millions on the y-axis. The D3.js code uses d3.csv to load the data, then maps it to a d3.scaleBand for the x-axis and a d3.scaleLinear for the y-axis. Rectangular SVG elements are colored steelblue, and d3.axisBottom and d3.axisLeft generate the labeled axes. A rotated text element labels the y-axis. The chart renders entirely as inline SVG within an HTML page.

D3 Boxplot

This example displays a bar chart of global sales figures for video games in 2016, with each game’s sales in millions of units shown on the y-axis and game names on the x-axis. It uses D3 v6 to build the visualization, loading data from a CSV file that is manually encoded into a JavaScript array. The SVG rendering uses `d3.scaleBand` for the categorical x-axis, `d3.scaleLinear` for the numeric y-axis, and `d3.axisBottom` and `d3.axisLeft` to generate axis ticks, with circles placed via `append('circle')` and positioning computed from the scales.

A Bar Chart(Platform)

This interactive bar chart displays video game sales across platforms, with a dropdown menu to switch between global, EU, JP, NA, and other regional sales figures. Built with React and D3 v5, it uses `scaleBand` and `scaleLinear` for positioning, and SVG rects for bars with native tooltips. The data is loaded via D3’s `csv` from a GitHub-hosted Kaggle dataset of the top 500 games.
