This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-style geometric drawing, showing a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines that are partially revealed through two circular masks. The code constructs an SVG element using the raw DOM API (`createElementNS`) to generate the lines and masks. A first mask hides lines outside a central circle, while a second mask uses an inverted circle to show only vertical lines within that same area. The piece is created entirely with JavaScript, with no external libraries.

Sol Lewitt Reproduction vertical

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-style geometric art piece using raw SVG and JavaScript. It shows a full-screen vertical grid of thin horizontal and vertical lines, with a central circular region highlighted by a mask. The rendering relies on the SVG `mask` element and dynamically created `rect` elements, using standard DOM APIs like `document.createElementNS`. The horizontal lines are clipped to a circle via the mask, while vertical lines span the full height, creating a layered, minimal composition.

Sol Lewitt Piece Vertical

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-style drawing using only SVG and JavaScript. It shows a grid of thin horizontal and vertical lines, where a circular region in the center is masked, leaving the vertical lines visible only outside the mask while the horizontal lines remain unobscured. The code builds the SVG programmatically via the Document Object Model API, using `createElementNS` to construct the `svg`, `mask`, `rect`, and `circle` elements, and applies the mask to the horizontal bands to create the circular cutout effect.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction Verticle

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-inspired drawing using only SVG elements. It shows a grid of horizontal and vertical lines confined to a circular mask, creating a clean, geometric composition. The visualization is generated procedurally with JavaScript, using the Document Object Model (DOM) APIs to create SVG nodes. A white circle on a black mask defines the visible area, while 100 horizontal rectangles and 100 vertical rectangles are drawn across the full canvas, with the horizontal set clipped by the mask. The code relies on native browser APIs such as `document.createElementNS` and `setAttribute`, with no external libraries.

Fork of Sol lewitt reproduction Vertical JVK

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt drawing by layering two sets of striped rectangles inside an SVG canvas. One set of horizontal stripes is masked by a central white circle, while the other set of vertical stripes uses an inverted mask, creating intersecting grid patterns. The code uses the SVG API to create elements and masks, manipulating `createElementNS` and attributes. It renders the entire browser viewport, defining masks and loops to generate the grid geometry.

Sol lewitt reproduction Vertical JVK

A web-based reproduction of a Sol LeWitt wall drawing uses overlapping horizontal and vertical bands to create a grid. A circular SVG mask reveals only the horizontal stripes within a central circle, while the vertical stripes extend across the full canvas. The code generates 100 striped rectangles for each orientation using standard W3C SVG methods. The piece is rendered entirely through JavaScript and the DOM API, without external libraries.

Sol Lewitt Variante

This example recreates a Sol LeWitt-inspired wall drawing as an interactive SVG visualization. The artwork shows a grid of thin horizontal and vertical lines that are visible only within two overlapping circular masks, creating a crosshatched pattern inside the circles against a blank background. The code uses plain JavaScript with the SVG DOM API, creating mask elements and hundreds of rect primitives programmatically. A black-filled mask with a white circle reveals the horizontal lines, while an inverted mask with a black circle reveals the vertical lines, demonstrating a simple yet effective clipping technique.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-style geometric piece using only SVG and JavaScript, creating an intricate grid of horizontal and vertical lines. It shows a large circular mask revealing a woven pattern of alternating line directions, with the circle centered on a full-screen canvas. The code builds the visualization by constructing SVG elements via the DOM API (`document.createElementNS`), defining two masks (`circle-mask` and `circle-mask-2`) to clip horizontal and vertical line groups. It generates 100 horizontal rectangles and 100 vertical rectangles, each 10 pixels thick, with the masks controlling visibility to create the overlapping effect. No external libraries are used; the rendering relies purely on raw SVG and JavaScript.

Sol Lewit reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-style geometric drawing by generating a grid of horizontal and vertical lines in pure SVG. It uses two SVG masks (`circle-mask` and `circle-mask-2`) to constrain the lines: the first mask allows the 100 horizontal strips to appear only inside a central white circle, while the second mask shows vertical strips outside that circle. The code builds all elements dynamically via the SVG DOM API (`createElementNS`), with no external libraries, and the result is a minimalist composition of intersecting, masked line bands against a blank background.
