A blank SVG canvas displays only a single purple rectangle with rounded corners. The example uses D3 v5's `select` and `append` methods to draw the shape, reading the SVG's width and height attributes as numeric values. The page's background is set to a solid magenta color via CSS, with the body fixed to prevent scrolling. The code logs the browser's client dimensions to the console, which are not otherwise used in the visualization.

Blank Canvas

A blank rectangular canvas in vivid purple stretches across a fixed browser window, rendered as a single rounded rectangle. D3 v5 selects an empty SVG and appends a rect element sized to the SVG's declared dimensions, with a corner radius of 40. The code logs the document body width and height to the console, while CSS locks the viewport and applies a solid background color.

Blank Canvas

A blank SVG canvas fills the browser window with a single rounded rectangle. The visualization demonstrates minimal setup using D3 v5, where the `select` method targets the SVG element and sets its dimensions to match the viewport. A rect with a 40-pixel corner radius is appended to create the sole visual element. The example relies on the document body's client dimensions to size the canvas, with CSS constraining the page layout to prevent scrolling.

Blank Canvas

A blank SVG canvas fills the browser window, framed by a single rounded rectangle. The example demonstrates a minimal setup for web-based visualization, using D3 v6 to select the SVG element and set its dimensions based on the viewport. The code imports `select` and `arc` from D3, though only `select` is used to append the background shape. Styling is handled externally via CSS, which fixes the body and hides overflow to ensure the canvas remains visually clean and uncluttered.

Blank Canvas

A blank SVG canvas fills the browser viewport, displaying nothing but a single rounded rectangle that matches the window's dimensions. The visualization demonstrates the foundational setup of a D3 project by importing the `d3` library and appending a basic shape element. Using `d3.select` on an empty SVG, it dynamically sets the width and height attributes based on the document's client dimensions, then adds a `rect` with a 40-pixel corner radius. The code relies on D3 v5 and a bundled JavaScript file, with CSS positioning the body to cover the entire viewport.

Blank Canvas

A blank, full-viewport SVG canvas is created, filling the browser window with a single rounded rectangle. The example demonstrates a minimal starting point for a visualization, with no data or marks drawn. The code uses D3 v5’s `select` function to target the SVG element, sets its dimensions to the document body’s client width and height, and appends a `rect` with a 40-pixel corner radius, all styled by a fixed-position CSS layout that removes margins and scrollbars.

Blank Canvas

A blank SVG canvas fills the browser viewport. The visualization draws a single rounded rectangle that covers the entire display area, using the body’s client dimensions for sizing. The code imports `select` from the D3 library (version 5.9.2) and applies `.attr` and `.append` methods to create the SVG rectangle, with no data or additional marks rendered.

Blank Canvas

An empty SVG canvas fills the browser window, displaying only a rounded rectangle that spans the full viewport. The example demonstrates the minimal setup required to render a blank visualization surface. The code uses D3 v5's `select` and `arc` imports to create an SVG container, then appends a `<rect>` element with its width and height set to the document body's client dimensions. The CSS fixes the body to prevent scrolling, ensuring the canvas remains static.

Blank Canvas

This example presents a minimalist blank canvas: a single rounded rectangle fills the entire browser window as a static SVG shape. The visualization demonstrates the basic setup of an SVG-based D3 scene, sizing the drawing area to the viewport and rendering one straightforward geometric element. The code uses D3 v5's `select` function to target the SVG element, then appends a rectangle with a 40-pixel corner radius, with the page styled to remove margins and prevent scrolling.
