Top 10 Most Covid-19 Infected Countries

The top 10 most populous countries

This bar chart displays the 2018 population estimates for the ten most populous countries, sourced from the UN World Population Prospects. The visualization uses D3 v5 to create an SVG chart with dark blue bars, employing `scaleLinear` for the x-axis, `scaleBand` for the y-axis, and `axisLeft`/`axisBottom` for tick marks. The code loads the CSV data, multiplies population values by 1000, and renders the chart with a light blue background.

Top 10 Most Populous Countries

This bar chart displays the top 10 most populous countries using 2018 population estimates from the United Nations’ World Population Prospects. Each country is represented by a circle positioned along a linear scale for population and a point scale for country names, with customized D3 axes. The visualization uses d3.csv, d3.scaleLinear, d3.scalePoint, d3.axisLeft, d3.axisBottom, and d3.format to load data, scale values, render axes, and format tick labels. d3.select and d3.append build the SVG elements dynamically, with a title added as a text element.

A Bar Chart of the Top 10 Most Populous Countries

This bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries, using 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects. The visualization encodes country names on a band scale and population values on a linear scale, with steel-blue rectangles representing each value. Built with D3 v5, the code uses `csv` for data loading, `scaleBand` and `scaleLinear` for scales, and `axisLeft` and `axisBottom` for axes. SVG rendering is used throughout, with margins creating an inner plotting area for the chart elements.

Top Countries By Population Bar Chart

This bar chart displays the top 10 most populous countries for 2020, using horizontal bars to compare population sizes. The chart is built with React and D3 v5, using `scaleBand` for the categorical y-axis and `scaleLinear` for the population x-axis. Data comes from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2019, loaded via D3's `csv` function. The SVG rendering includes custom axes and marks, with tooltips formatted using D3's `format` function to show values in billions.

Bar Charts

This bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries, using 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects. The bars are rendered in SVG with a steelblue fill, while D3’s axis generator provides customized tick labels and lines in muted grays. The chart uses `d3.csv` to load the data and `d3.scaleBand` and `d3.scaleLinear` for positioning and scaling. An axis label and a title are added as text elements, with font sizes and colors styled via CSS.

Countries Bar Chart

This chart visualizes the top 10 most populous countries based on United Nations World Population Prospects 2019 data. It shows horizontal bars representing each country's population, with the x-axis labeled "Population." The visualization is created using React and D3 v5, with SVG rendering. The code uses d3.scaleBand for the categorical y-axis, d3.scaleLinear for the continuous x-axis, and d3.csv to load the dataset. Axis components and marks are defined as separate React components, with tooltips displaying formatted population values.

bar chart

This bar chart displays the top 10 most populous countries in 2018, based on estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2017. It uses a horizontal bar layout with population values on the x-axis and country names on the y-axis. The visualization is built with D3 v5, employing `scaleLinear` and `scaleBand` for scales, `axisLeft` and `axisBottom` for axes, and SVG rectangles for bars. Data is loaded from a CSV file, with population values multiplied by 1000.
