This interactive scatter plot visualizes U.S. economic factors from 1800 to 2011, using data from the IMF. Two dropdown menus let viewers select which economic variable appears on each axis, updating the visualization dynamically. Each data point is drawn as an orange circle that animates into position over four seconds using a staggered delay. The code uses d3.csv, d3.scaleLinear, d3.axisBottom, d3.axisLeft, and transition.attr to render the SVG and handle the animated updates.
