A bar chart shows crime rates per 100,000 women across Indian states and union territories in 2022, with bars sorted from highest to lowest rate. The chart uses d3.scaleBand and d3.scaleLinear to position bars, while a d3.scaleSequential with interpolateRdYlBu colors each bar from blue to red based on rate magnitude. Data loads from a CSV and filters out the national total, and users can click individual bars to highlight them, which reduces opacity on non-selected bars. Tooltips display exact state and rate values on hover.
