This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, with each country as a leaf node in a tree layout. The example uses D3 v5 with the `cluster` layout and `hierarchy` function to process the nested JSON data, while `linkHorizontal` generates curved paths between parent and child nodes. The resulting SVG renders all connections as black lines on a white background, filling the entire browser viewport.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. It uses a horizontal tree layout, with each country name rendered as a leaf node and connections drawn as curved links. The code employs D3 v5’s `tree()` layout, `hierarchy()`, and `linkHorizontal()` path generator to position nodes and draw edges in SVG. Data comes from a local `data.json` file containing the nested geographic grouping.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The tree layout renders countries as leaf nodes beneath their regional groupings, with curved horizontal links connecting parent and child nodes. The visualization uses D3 v5's `tree()` layout and `linkHorizontal()` generator, with text labels sized inversely to node depth. The SVG output is rendered dynamically from a JSON dataset, and users can navigate the hierarchy using D3's `zoom()` behavior for panning and scaling.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as an interactive tree diagram. Using D3 v5’s `tree` layout and `linkHorizontal` path generator, the SVG renders curved links between parent and child nodes, with country names positioned along the hierarchy. The code loads hierarchical JSON data, applies `hierarchy` to structure it, and styles text with serif fonts, varying font size by depth. The visualization relies on D3’s selection, zoom, and JSON loading APIs, with static rendering of all nodes and links.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using a horizontal tree layout rendered as SVG. The code employs D3 v5's `tree()` and `hierarchy()` functions to compute node positions and draws curved links with `linkHorizontal()`. Static labels are placed at each node, and the data comes from a local `data.json` file containing the nested geographic classification.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion. It renders a horizontal tree layout using D3’s `tree()` and `hierarchy()` functions, with countries positioned as leaf nodes. Links are drawn as curved paths via `linkHorizontal()`, while node labels use varying font sizes based on depth. The entire visualization is placed inside a zoomable group, allowing users to pan and scale through the `d3.zoom()` API. Data comes from a local `data.json` file, and the SVG output is styled with custom CSS, including a serif font and green link strokes.

World Countries Tree

This example renders a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion. The visualization displays the geographic grouping structure with curved link paths connecting parent nodes to their children, starting from the root "World" node. It uses D3 v5 APIs including `d3.tree()` for layout, `d3.hierarchy()` for data structuring, and `linkHorizontal()` to generate the SVG paths. The data comes from a static JSON file loaded via `d3.json()`, with the SVG canvas sized to fill the viewport.
