This example presents the classic Iris flower dataset as an animated scatter plot. Built with D3.js, it cycles through the dataset’s four numerical attributes on the x-axis every two seconds, while the y-axis consistently maps sepal length. The visualization updates axes through reusable `axisBottom` and `axisLeft` APIs and renders data points as SVG circles whose coordinates are computed via `scaleLinear`. It uses `select` and `.join` for efficient idempotent updates, and reads `iris.csv` directly from a GitHub Gist.
